Day 1
Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International airport, meet and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 2
Transfer from hotel to Jari Jari Spa. Indulge in the healing rituals of Dusun Culture. This traditional massage combines stretching and acupressure, and aims to relieve tension and improve blood circulation. The 3-Step Treatment include : Floral Foot Soak, Foot Scrub with Borneo Coffee, and the signature Dusun Inan Therapy. Return to hotel for overnight. (B)
Day 3
Transfer to jetty for 20 minutes boat journey to Gaya Island. Explore the 2km jungle trail and learn about some of the unique medicinal plants, tropical hardwood trees, coastal vegetation, tropical dipterocarp rainforest and the ecology of the mangrove forest. Transfer across to Manukan Island for a picnic lunch. Relax, snorkel and free at leisure before returning at 1500 hours. Return to hotel for overnight. (B,Packed lunch)
Day 4
Drive 2 hours overland (88 km) through paddy-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu at 5,000 ft. Short stop at roadside stall to savour the taste of local fruits. At Kinabalu Park World Heritage Site, visit the Education Centre and Mountain Garden, home to various species of the flowering rhododendrons, carnivorous pitcher plants, orchids, ferns, oak trees and birds. Temperature at the park is around 14 - 25° C. If time and weather permits, take a guided walk on one of the trails in the cool surrounding to observe the montane forest before returning to Kota Kinabalu for overnight. (BL)
